Still very much reading the Ascension Guide (by Master Tony) ; it has many answers (and many open questions) and in parallel I'm reading Rudolf Steiner's books or lecture.2012 is a Year for questioning, a Year to open the mind.
What are we doing on Earth ?
What is the meaning of Life ?
Where are we going after Life on Earth ?
That's the kind of questions we joke about - to pretend we're deep and philosophical but this guide above gives answer to that and more.
As for Rudolf Steiner his approach is more subtle, more scientific in some ways.
What everybody would agree on is as follow :
As human we are born, we grow and then we die
Now being Human isn't just incarnating a Physical body, there's an Etheric body, and an Astral body.
On top of that we have the Ego - without the Ego we wouldn't have memories.
That is Rudolf Steiner theory.
The Astral Body can detach the physical body and travel through dreams ; the Etheric body is the one that gives life to the Physical matter (carbon).
Earth is like a school, a sandbox, what happen for human is a series of labors, a journey that basically allow us to learn - we are co-creator of our Life, if we are pro-active that is.
It's easy for us to get lost during this time and to put too much importance on materialistic stuffs and therefor lower our frequencies and get really separated from the whole. If we think of life as a way to get as much stuffs as possible, then we develop greed, and we become prisoner of our cravings for more. We enslave ourselves and materialistic things start owning ourselves.
The teaching of Buddha is to free the self from sufferings by freeing the soul from the illusion of materialism.
Even the most successful, richest, most popular person will eventually die and leave everything he has ; so what's the point of this materialistic suffering, this insatiable lust for money, this greed ?!
Jesus is saying the exact same thing.
The human has to fight against ignorance and fear to find himself free.
Every human is at school, there's no winner or loser -- the goal is to learn. There are no grades or exams, just karma we accumulate.
There are basic laws :
Everything is mental, meaning happen in the mind - assuming there is intelligence in anything, and that we are One. Earth is intelligent, Earth is a living planet with physical body, Etheric body and Astral body, just like us. There is a link between Earth and Humans (her fruits) -- except that this link is weaker that it used to be.
The Law of Attraction, meaning you get what you want. Life (or the Universe) is giving you what you wish for -- if you think you can't have something, you will not have it. During class, the smart teacher would ask you a question, you do not know the answer and just say humbly "I don't know", the teacher isn't upset he just go away ... Now, your task is to find a way to get the answer to his question, because he will be back and ask the same question again, and again until you can answer it correctly.
The Law of karma, meaning what you do to other, will happen to you too.
From the Ascension Guide and Rudolf Steiner, the topic of reincarnation is proved and would be like a way to send back a student that failed a class back to school, until he learned enough or redeemed his karma (or both).
Now on the topic of spiritual evolution the "Ascension Guide" and Rudolf Steiner are going somewhat in a different direction - for Rudolf Steiner as human we are trapped between two poles (Lucifer and Ahriman)
The Three Streams of Evolution:
If the double machinations of Lucifer and Ahriman were to succeed, the world would become hard and devoid of spirit, and would enter a different phase of evolution to the one the Gods intended.While Master Tony's guide is just talking about lower or higher vibrations - basically low vibrations means we're still poorly evolved spiritually and high vibrations means we are soon able to graduate and enter higher dimensions.
Rudolf Steiner talks about Higher dimensions as well, and give directions about this topic in his book "How to Attain Knowledge of Higher Worlds".
Last major distinction is that Rudolf Steiner is never mentioning anything special happening in 2012.
When Master Tony is talking about a Major planetary ascension that will leave the Earth completely emptied of Human form - and this even should take place between September-December 2012.
Interesting to know which one is right!
