100 Hours In Total Darkness

A darkness retreat traditionally is an ancient spiritual practice reserved for very advanced meditation practitioners.

Because people seem to be having profound experiences in the dark.
Very similar to a sensory deprivation tank, for the first time since you were born there is nothing but your own ability to just watch and observe your own mind in that darkness.

In the dark you will find that to reduce stress and anxiety is paramount, improve sleep as well.

Sense of time is gone, and only epiphanies and new ideas, new sensations are popping up
Realizing for example how we put so much importance on time, and distractions...
In our modern culture, we believe that we are worthy only if we are productive, but being in the dark, and having no distractions, no possible activities, only thoughts, is really a game changer.

Later the whole lot of negative emotions, and fears are slowly creeping in, and the only possible response to acknowledge them, one by one, and accept them.

The end of an Era

Following concerns from doctors, Buckingham Palace declared on September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth was receiving medical attention at Balmoral Castle.

The Queen remains at Balmoral, according to the statement that said, "Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision."

Elizabeth's four children, as well as her daughters-in-law and grandchildren Prince William and Prince Harry, traveled to Balmoral.

Elizabeth's passing was confirmed that evening at 18:30 BST

Somehow it is 2022, but we can all witness the end of the 20th century

This news is currently all over the place Worldwide.

The response to a "black pill" argument

The general understanding given by despairing people, or so called 'black pill' is always around the idea that there is no hope, nothing matters, nothing makes sense, this could be funny (and Rick Sanchez is often quoted for this tirade) ... but thinking in this way, can be harmful, especially if you already are in bad shape, recently hit by life changing events, grieving, or recently unemployed, divorced, etc ...

And I will quote here a paragraph from the book by Viktor Frankl:

What was really needed was a fundamental change in our attitude toward life. We had to learn ourselves and, furthermore, we had to teach the despairing men, that it did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us.

We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life—daily and hourly. Our answer must consist, not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual.

This is about looking at any situation, with the attitude of a space marine in Starcraft, and shouting:

  • Commander?
  • Standin' by.
  •  Jacked up and good to go.
  •  Gimme something to shoot!
  •  Go go go!
  •  Let's move!
  •  Outstanding!
  •  Rock and roll!
That will make the 'black pill' laughs, and then he will leave ...
